An engaging masterclass to help you define and plan a successful exit.
Exit Strategy Masterclass
Take a day out of your business to consider what a successful exit really looks like to you. Be inspired, hear from experts and take away a 10-point workbook for planning your exit, when the time is right.
The Blue Sky team is delighted to be hosting a one-day Masterclass for entrepreneurs, business owners and directors based in Dorset and Hampshire.
This is a not-to-be-missed event for those beginning to think about the next chapter in their business life. Whether you are hoping to sell your business for the best price, or leave it to family as part of your legacy (or any of the other options!), it’s important to really define what a successful exit looks like to you and create a clear plan for how you achieve that within your timescales.
If you are asking yourself any of these questions, this will be a valuable day out to learn from experts in the industry:
- How much is my business worth?
- When is the right time to sell/what are the timescales?
- Who would want to buy it?
- How do I ensure my business is left in the right hands?
- Should I implement a Managing Director first?
- Can I leave my business to my children?
- Are your business premises for sale too?
- What are the tax implications?
After a morning with motivational speaker Miles Hilton-Barber, we will hear from eminent professionals in their field; Preparing Business for Sale, Selling Businesses, Tax, Commercial Law and Finance. They will provide expert advice on how to prepare yourself and your business – talking you through how you will need to examine your business operation and profitability from an outsider’s viewpoint, just as you would your home if you were putting your house on the market.
At this Masterclass, Managing Director of Blue Sky, Gary Neild will share his knowledge of helping successful business owners plan effectively.
“Selling your business can provide the capital to complete one chapter in your life and move into a new one. However, you really do have to start at the end, in order to find the beginning… what’s your number?”
A vital part of preparing for a successful exit is a thorough review of your personal finances (including pensions, assets and liabilities) to find your magic number – the amount of money you need in order to live the live you want.
This Masterclass is for a maximum of 20 people. Each will be asked to sign a Confidentiality Waiver. The content has been carefully crafted to inspire, inform and open up your mind to all the possibilities ahead, with plenty of time to talk with speakers, experts and other professional in the room.
Each attended will leave with a10-point workbook for planning their exit, when the time is right and you will also have access to the professional advisors after the day who will be happy to talk in further detail about your situation.
Every attendee will also receive a complimentary Financial Review with Blue Sky’s Andrew Dunn if they wish to begin the process of understanding ‘their magic number’.
