Financial Planning Specialists
Gary is Managing Director and Chair of Blue Sky’s Investment Committee. Establishing the business in 2002, Gary set out to create his vision for Financial Planning – working with clients to help them understand their choices fully and empower them to live the lives they want without fear or anxiety.
Robert has been working in the Financial Services industry for over 26 years and now specialises in wealth management, investment advice and inheritance tax planning. Robert joined the Blue Sky team in January 2016, having known Gary for more than 30 years!
Russell’s role is predominantly to work with Gary to provide clients with a coherent strategy to meet their goals and manage their risks. Russell thrives on detail and is responsible for much of the portfolio management. He also provides clients with Final Salary Transfer advice.
Tammy is a Chartered Financial Planner. Her role is to work with the team to create personalised strategies for clients, helping them to become financially secure in the first instance, before showing them how, with financial guidance, they can enjoy the rest of their lives without undue worries.
Business Support Team
In 2013 Peter joined us to help develop the business further. After a 30-year career managing leisure centres, it’s true to say that Peter did not set out to be involved in Financial Planning! He is however a truly great voice of experience when it comes to managing people and developing the client service proposition that sets us apart from our competitors.
Dave joined the Blue Sky team in 2010 after spending the majority of his career assisting businesses with Operations and Management. His role here is to assist Gary and the management team with coordinating and evaluating performance indicators, with the intention of delivering consistent and exceptional service standards to our clients.
Pam has worked with Gary for over 20 years and is a pivotal member of the team because of her vast experience. Pam ensures that our business systems and structures are as efficient and responsive as possible and manages the Client Database to deliver consistent client communications. Pam works closely with the management team.
Roy joined the Blue Sky team in early 2017 to manage ‘in-house’ some of our IT and technical requirements. He has previously worked as a business analyst for over 15 years and enjoys problem solving and process simplification. He works closely with Russell with administration and support functions.
Paul is our newest recruit, bringing a wide and varied background within financial services and his all-round knowledge in all aspects of T&C including Supervision, KPI, File Reviews, Recruitment Procedures and Business Development. With all the changes in compliance that lie ahead for our business, we thought it prudent to have a dedicated person helping us embrace the future.
Louise became PA to Gary Neild in 2016 bringing an immense amount of enthusiasm and organisation to the role. She is responsible for ensuring Gary is working to greatest efficiency and with a background in the recruitment and accountancy fields, she is not only commercially minded but incredibly focused on the client experience.
Fiona joined the Blue Sky team in 2014 having spent the best part of her career, over twenty-two years, in Financial Planning. Fiona is responsible for supporting the Planners and Paraplanners and is our detail guru when it comes to the systems within the business.
Michelle became a member of the Blue Sky team in mid 2017 to assist our planners and paraplanners with the fundamental support work that goes into providing exceptional customer service. She works closely with Robert in particular, and is a superb addition to the team.
Pip joined Blue Sky in 2018 as our Head of Administration with nearly 20 years’ experience of managing teams and processes. She holds financial planning and pensions administration certificates and her primary role is working alongside the financial planning team to ensure an efficient process and service delivery.
Max joined Blue Sky in September 2017 as our Business and Administration Intern. He is studying for a degree in Business Management at Brighton University, and as part of a four year course, is learning all he can from a year in industry. Max is shadowing the senior members of the team, as well as taking responsibility for a few key projects.
