This week, except for brief mentions of inflation, interest rates and markets (okay, okay, I do this most weeks), we are turning our attention to the US elections – the likely outcome and the potential impact on the markets. With some eight months to go we are not worried about the implications but having been asked recently in client reviews, we thought it a good idea to cast some light on this subject.

Better off with Trump or Biden?
What a choice! Two old men (in political terms), slugging it out at the ballot box in November. It makes our UK election prospects look positively youthful and uplifting!
I listened to a webinar this week anchored by JPMorgan’s Chief Market Strategist, Karen Ward who interviewed Dr David Kelly, the Chief Global Strategist and Head of the Global Market Insights Strategy Team also at JPMorgan.
