On Wednesday 9th July, The Lighthouse Theatre in Poole played host to a truly unforgettable evening of music, celebration, and community spirit — the Poole Symphonic Proms. As proud sponsors, the Blue Sky Financial Planning team were thrilled to be part of such a spectacular event.
The concert brought together a rich programme of much-loved music, from timeless classical pieces to rousing showtunes and instantly recognisable film scores. The evening concluded with a vibrant finale inspired by Last Night of the Proms, creating an atmosphere that was both joyful and unifying.
Adding to the occasion, our CEO, Gary Neild, stepped out of the boardroom and onto the stage to act as compère for the night. Guiding the audience through the evening’s performances, Gary’s natural warmth and humour shone through, helping to set the tone for a relaxed yet uplifting celebration of music. His role as host was met with enthusiastic applause — and more than a few smiles from our clients in the audience!
For Blue Sky, the event was more than just an opportunity to sponsor a local concert. It was a chance to bring people together and create shared memories. We had a lovely drinks and canapes reception before the performance, and a short talk from the musical arranger and conductor, Peter Fudge. Many of our clients attended with family and friends, and the feedback we’ve received since the event has been wonderful:

The Poole Symphonic Proms also gave us the opportunity to connect with the community in a different way; celebrating culture, creativity, and the value of shared experiences.
