Gary Neild
Gary is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chair of Blue Sky’s Investment Committee. Establishing the business in 2002, Gary set out to create his vision for Financial Planning – working with clients to help them understand their choices fully and empower them to live the lives they want without fear or anxiety.
Before Blue Sky, Gary spent many years operating as an independent financial adviser, five of which were as a director and major shareholder in a joint venture. Now, it’s important to understand that Gary has never worked for an insurance or investment company, nor a bank. Why is this important? Well, because he has escaped unscathed from the institutional attitude that has hampered financial services for many years.
Gary has always wanted Blue Sky to be progressive, yet stable and reliable for our clients. He and the team have steered the company through a great deal of change, but have kept intact the values that he holds so dear: honesty, integrity and humility.
Gary is a qualified Financial Planner and is the lead on all High Net Worth clients. As well as being the Chair of Blue Sky’s Investment Committee he is also the driving force for the business writing our well-regarded weekly market updates.
When not working, Gary can be found on the golf course or enjoying holidays that experience different cultures and some precious time away with his wife and two adult sons. Gary loves living in Dorset for the beauty of the place but is originally from Blackpool!
A huge relief!
I originally contacted Gary Neild of Blue Sky Financial Planning approximately two years ago when I was looking for advice on pension investment. I had limited financial knowledge and Gary very patiently guided me through the process and was always at the end of the phone to answer any queries.
Up until I met Gary and his team, I had always been concerned about my financial future. Not anymore! Together we have compiled a risk management plan which includes life insurances and cashflow forecasting.
The cashflow forecast enables me to see at a glance what my financial situation will be at certain stages in my life.
