We were exceptionally proud to be the key sponsors of the Dorset Blind Association’s 2017 Masquerade Ball at The Hilton Hotel last Saturday, for the second year in a row!
The event was an overwhelming success, raising a grand total of £16,042.30 for the charity.
The Dorset Blind Association do not receive any statuary funding to maintain the vital service they offer in the community, even with the ever increasing demand for services. They really do rely on support from generous people and companies in order to carry on supporting those that really do need their help. The money raised at the Ball will go towards maintaining clubs and other community support services, through which they regularly help over 1,000 blind or partially sighted people across Dorset each month. Volunteers from Barclays also provided matched funding which is fantastic!
The next Masquerade Ball will be on Saturday 13th October 2018 and will celebrate the charity’s centenary year! If you would like to be updated with information for the 2018 Ball then please sign up here.
Gary would like to say a huge well done to all the team at Dorset Blind for organising such a smashing event.
