Let me ask you: What would help deliver your nirvana? What changes in your life would have to happen to make you blissfully happy?
This is what we ask all of our clients when they first visit Blue Sky, and many struggle to easily answer such a direct question. To think about what would make you happy, it is poignant to anchor in the present and consider what makes you unhappy. So many of us just put up with things and carry on with our lives thinking “this is just the way it is!”
I understand that change takes a lot of effort and commitment but surely it is better to do something rather than accept our lot? I like the quote from Dale Carnegie who commented that “inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage”.
Catherine Pratt says: “The thought of making a life change can be so intimidating that even though you want to be the master of your own destiny you’ll end up doing nothing or settling for less than you deserve simply because you’re so afraid of that change. This is a tragedy when you think about it. You’ve let fear stop you from living your life to its full potential”.
So, our job at Blue Sky is to help our clients switch their mindsets from what they accept in their lives to what they would love in their lives! So many people who come to us are a slave to something… their work, their mortgage, their pension or simply their fear of change. The key is to enjoy yourself whilst you have good health.
Is this what you are doing?
In 2018, we have already enabled four separate clients to retire at least 5 years earlier than they expected. Yes, that’s 5 years earlier than they ever thought possible before they came to us. Hats off to them for coming to see us, although two of them were recommended by other clients over 2 years ago. They took their time but most importantly, they overcame their fear and inertia and did something about it.
By modelling, exploring and evaluating a whole range of possibilities we were able to deliver the one thing that everyone is seeking… confidence.
Remember the quote from Dale Carnegie, “action breeds confidence and courage, inaction breeds doubt and fear”.
Don’t delay, plan today.
