Around the financial world in 80 minutes
Justin Urquhart-Stewart of 7IM, the well known financial commentator presented an ‘Around the World in 80 minutes’ overview of the global economy, hosted by two local advisory firms for an invited audience last week.
A cross section of local business people and clients from Blue Sky Financial Planning Ltd and Steele Raymond Solicitors, gave top marks for his captivating presentation, which was seen as ‘warm, insightful and inspirational’. Justin delivered an energetic overview on issues such as the banking crisis, sovereign debt across the western economy and the inability for European politicians to provide strong leadership.
His conclusion was that we are clearly in a state of flux with regards to solving the debt crisis, however said there is hope and optimism that the European leaders will come up with a credible plan.
Justin commented ‘The key is to have diversification in harmony with active management of investments and pension portfolios, but the priority is to plan first and foremost which includes assessing your attitude to risk’.
